ZONTA MANILA III | AREA 1 |DISTRICT 17

 

Club History: SOM (Sponsor, Organize and Mentor) CLUB and Chartering ZC Manila, led by Nonie Basilio & AD Imelda Cancio, organised ZC of Manila III in 1997, by inviting group of professionals ladies from Greenhills areas to their talks/orientation on Zonta. Thus, following several meetings and orientations with prospective members. ZC Manila III was born. On Oct 27, 1997, Zonta International approved and registered the club with Charter No.1585. Thereafter, in January 1998, twenty (20) charter members were inducted by the DG Anna Kwong at the Club Filipino, San Juan City. Several luminaries and some Zonta officers graced the occasion. Charter President was Teresita Castro.

Objects

  • To improve the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women at the global and locallevel through service and advocacy.
  • To work for the advancement of understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of members.
  • To promote justice and universal respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms.
  • To be united internationally to foster high ethical standards, to implement service programs, and to provide mutual support and fellowship for members who serve their communities, their nations and the world.

Vision

Zonta International seek to advance the status of women worldwide by improving the legal, political, economic,
educational, health and professional status of women at the global and local levels through services and advocacy.

Mission

  • To promote justice and universal respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms.
  • To be united internationally to foster high ethical standards, to implement service program and to provide mutual support and fellowship for members who secure their communities, their nations and the world.
